Yet another lifeless night sitting in the balcony with random thoughts swirling in my head. Life seemed meaningless as each day passes in a blink. And with no sense of direction in life, nothing can be worse. Ok, enough about life - it makes me chuckle to myself like an idiot.

4.17 in the morning, 'when the birds are sleeping, that's when the trees sing.' Yesterday was definitely a good day for a huge bunch of us.
I'm sure everyone felt it was over too fast. (and too slow in the midst of it. humans.)
Cheers of joy and excitement, a very heartwarming atmosphere. The most I could do was to join in mentally. Because to me, the moments were ephemeral. All I needed was a sense of relief. Everything is back to normal now. That's good enough.

So what does 'normal' means?
1. Still up at this time without having to worry about what tomorrow will bring.
2. Being able to sit here (in front of the com) almost 24/7.
3. Doing things that I enjoy. (specifically in contrast with studying, now you see it.)

I can stay home all day, just sitting here, and staring at the screen. I have no idea what my life is about.
Sometimes I ponder where am I, and where I'll be in time to come. The next question goes, so where do I go from here?

My thoughts never sleeps. And I ponder again, why is that so?

It's been about a month. (and blogger changed its homepage, am i slow?!)
I don't quite know what to write because I totally lost the feel to blog.
But I'd like to update about the things that have happened over the course of my absence.

So let's see. Today was really a good day - Done with art paper. The two nights of staying up were definitely worth it. Even though the quality of the drawing paper given was literally lower than typical toilet rolls. (.. my colours couldn't get in.) I bet it's from the school.
To me, it's like o's is over - Everyone I walked past today had a smile on their faces and the air I breathe just got fresher.
Well, perhaps just my imagination.

There's one last paper before the end of o's and I kind of look forward to seeing people's reaction after the paper. It's also the time when I can officially dump/burn/tear/whatever to get rid of the books. Indeed they have sticked with me for a long time.. But i have no feelings for them at all. Come to think of it, I think I needed only one school term because I wasn't exactly serious during the first half of the year.

Anyway.. O's was surprisingly, quite manageable. Like easier than what I've expected. Even though N's was way easier. (yes, now i realise.) Talking about aims and grades, I'm only expecting an average kind of results. Dammit, suddenly I feel that I've wasted 5 years of my life by saying that. Nonetheless, I'm trying to remain positive and tell myself that my results are going to be not-that-bad. But of course, I have higher expectations of myself. Who doesn't..?

As o's come to an end, I think I'm going to miss the school, I think. Especially the assholes that have been on good terms with me, or once were. My crappy classmates, and all the random people I've knew throughout the 5 years. Since things are going to be very different next year, all these shall be kept as memories. At this point of time, I'm trying very hard to find a complete class photo of 5N2 so I could include it in this post. (but failed, i have none.) Moving on to my awesome teachers - Mr Chew, Mrs James, Mrs Tay, Ms Izzati, Mr Chio, Mr Noor, Ms Ng, Ms Shirley and Mr Jimmy. Heartfelt thanks. For they made me know that I actually have a complete brain in my head.

For the past month, many things have happened. Something more prominent would be the breakdown of friendships. In fact myself I had a taste of how it feels like. People can gradually slip away from your life without you or them realising. People ask/tell me, "Don't you feel sad? I'm sure you will regret when you think of the happy times." I guess so. But in my head I tell myself, "The sad thoughts and the days of regrets will soon be gone." Perhaps it's not always about good mornings or good nights. Sometimes it just have to be goodbyes.

Following that, I have to say that I (kind of) dislike some people around me now. Because they probe about things like as if we're BFFs. I'm appalled by how "fake" people can appear to be despite treating them as good mates. After all, maybe it's telling me that I'm not a good friend to begin with. (too demanding?) Or does true friends not exists? Well they do, temporary.
I think I lose friends easily like how my phone always slips off my hands. People that I once were close with just drift away one after another. I really need a revolver to shoot these people down, or merely scare them. This way at least I know I exist.
Maybe, maybe it's part and parcel of life that people walk in and out of your life.
"Friends come and go, but true friends stay." - How far do you agree? Sometimes I don't even know if it's me or people going. Or is keeping someone close to your heart an almost impossible thing to do?

On a lighter note, maybe I should plan the list of things to do during the holidays. I'm considering whether i should work part-time. But it's hell of a boring and tiring thing to do, for now as a teenager - I'm seventeen. Maybe I should pick up new things like learning how illustrator works and "how-to-get-money-without-working". Or should I be a couch potato this holiday?

I know this post is rather wordy. Congrats if you haven't closed the page and your eyes still reading this.

This blog was created back in 2006 when I was in sec one, and I'm considering if this should be the last post on this blog. Even though this was supposed to be sort of a "comeback" post, I guess it might be a farewell post too. Which means that all the posts here will then be preserved like dinosaur bones. So.. That's all.

A very moving story, emotionally very demanding.
I'd recommend it immensely to all.

Just last week I said I loved Friday nights, it's Friday again.

School is getting better this semester, I kind of enjoy class, strangely.
Well, I guess it's the 'no-choice-but-study' pressure that the teachers are giving us.
It's good in a way. I finished all the assignments I owed and I feel like a free man, even though not exactly, yet.

Sleeping late at night for days is not fun at all.
Feeling tired the next day, and I have to climb up and down four levels in school, almost peed in my pants.
Weekends were pretty mundane, literally waited for Saturdays and Sundays to pass and back to school on Monday.

Paranormal Activity was way too overestimated. But I'll definitely go for Paranormal Activity 2.

Finally found some time to update this space of mine, even though I have completely no idea what to write about.

So the new term started last week and so far, so good.
I bet life is going to get real busy this few months due to the O levels preparation.

As I was rummaging around my bedroom, I found a plastic pocket, inside along with a small chalkboard and a letter.
Sounds like some old stuff, but no.
They were given by an art relief teacher who was in my school for about a month.

Along with the letter, there was a chalk.
She told us that at any day, any time, whenever we have decided what we want to be in the future, erase the quote and write

'I want to be a.. (something)' and work towards what we have written.

Late for school today for the sixth time this term.
And all Mr Felix, Mr Jason Tan and Mdm Laila could say was "Why are you late, again?"
How is it not obvious that the reason was that I had overslept?
It's the sixth time yet they just liked asking the same question over again.

Mr Felix requested to call my mom and he kept showing the "Give it to me" gesture.
Then, he called my mom (using my phone) and tried to talk some common sense with her.
I bet my mom just ok-oked him. Ugh.

During recess time, I bumped into the school counsellor and she spoke to me.
We chatted as we walked and unknowingly, we arrived at the counselling room and she questioned about my anxieties.
Well the same old thing -- school. But I added on my late comings problem.
And all she did was laugh at me when she told me these.
"Get your brother to kick you down the bed!" *laugh*
"Ask him to put ice, you know ice? (duh) On your eyes!" *laugh*

Lame.
For the half an hour she kept laughing at me, unlike the past when I was
the one who laughs at her for the whole of 2 hours or so.

After EP, I tried to seek help from Mrs James and she was the only one who offered realistic help.
She wanted to give me morning calls, research for solutions and she even wanted to give me an alarm clock!
Literally, I saw her halo brighten up right before my naked eyes.
Weird. :B

On top of that, wish to thank Regina for offering to give me morning calls whenever I complain about not being able to wake up on time.
And also Khairul who offered to go to my house in the morning and give me a tight slap to wake me up.

As expected, school holiday was fast over.
Skipped school on Monday as I knew that I would be caught for my "long" hair.
So I had a haircut and returned to school on Tuesday which was good, but because of the short curriculum.

BUT BUT BUT school sucked today.
I woke up late and tried my best to rush to school but the security guard just had to stop me outside the school gate.

And Mrs Tay kept repeating this in class:

"The greatest failure in life is the failure to try."

She does not understand how when a person can't even try.
Not even having the least motivation to pick up a pen or pencil to scribble something.
I am tired.

I am sick and tired of every single teacher who mentions O level in 12/10 of what they says.

Went to visit Ms Shirley with Regina yesterday, finally someone who talked some sense into me since a long time.
Right, there isn't much time left for everything.

I always asked myself what I wanted. But what exactly is the answer?

Cabbed to Orchard with Regina afterwards.
We had our dinner at Chicago's Steakhouse which was located at Cineleisure. And sad to say, the food was bad.

Ugh. I want to save up and get a new camera. Oherwise I'd have to wait for mom to get me one.

Last minute decision to go to town with Regina last night.
It was probably already 9 when we reached Orchard and we didn't know where to go because everywhere was gonna close.

We walked pass Indochine and we were so tempted to go in!
But thinking about the money, perhaps next time. We had dinner/supper at Ion's Hong Kong Cafe instead.

On a random note, it's been some time since I last painted.
And now I need a pair of Dali's hands and a perspective mind of Mc Escher.
I don't know why but everything don't seem to work out appropriately.

I don't think I did much to my blog. lol

The one week holiday is here but I just wasted my weekend away.
I only went out for meals or I'll be home sitting in front of the computer.
It's better than going out and spending money on useless stuff.

And I was late for training today.
I woke up at 7 plus and updated Twitter but I fell asleep afterwards.
I woke up again only at 9.15am and I was hungry like pork. Nevertheless, I prepared and went to school with an empty stomach.
And today's training was more intense than usual, which made me look haggard and seriously hungry. Yes, like a pork.
Fortunately I managed to survive the 3 hours of hell.

Anyway I was supposed to work on Wednesday and Thursday but I've decided not to.
The moment I reached home, I received a call from them.

Person:You were supposed to come down at 11am, why are you not here yet?
Sherman:That woman last week didn't tell me the time.
Person:Ok you were supposed to come down at 11am, *whatever* can you come down now?
Sherman:Oh.. Ok ok.

I just returned from training, hungry, and they expect me to go over like it's my fault that I missed the timing-- no no.
Even though I get paid, I don't need money from such people. But at the same time no money=no going out. Ugh.

A blog without pictures is truely dead and I totally agree with that.
The next time I'll update when I have pictures. (excuse for being lazy)

It is going to March real soon. The fact that February ends on the 28th, makes it even faster.

5 days had passed since school term started but as each day passes by, it felt more like "2010 begins today."
Time is moving slowly and endless questions marks appearing in my mind.
Next week will be just as horrendous - Commencement of coursework

Enough said, I am coping well with my studies and school.
However, the question is "How long will it last?"
The determination and perseverance to stay focused in class or even handing in my homework on time.
When can I ever have the optimism belief towards certain aspects of life?

What actually made me want to continue my studies at sec 5?
I need to know the answer because I am caught in between.

I need to start planning. For everything that has got to do with me.
I need to set my goals. And of course, I need to achieve them.
But will I be able to do that?

Starting to accept the changes that was a big addition to 2010.
Minor issues like my classroom is now on the fourth level instead of the second.
Other than that, facing teachers whom I didn't want to see or them to teach me.
Well as said, life still goes on and all of us have to move on with new things and changes.

Last Friday was the release of the N level results.
I had to wait till 3.30pm before I could receive my results due to my hair.

And yes, I managed to do well enough to get promoted to secondary 5.
Even though I was a point away from my target, I'm contented.
I'll make good use of the chance given to me and work hard for what I want.
Easier said than done right..

And for those who were just a little bit away from making it, all the best in your future endeavours!

The next day was Miss Shirley's awesome wedding which was short and sweet.
Then watched Avatar, one of the best movies I've watched this year.

8 weeks passed in a blink of an eye.
It will be my last day at work this Saturday.
I don't know if I'll miss the people there but one thing I'm sure is that I met a couple of good friends.
Through work I also realised that money is hard to earn. lol

Anyway Christmas is just round the corner!
Decided to celebrate it at home this year but I still gotta work in the morning though.

Jonathan and Sihui's last day at work.

Last week was totally a fully utilized week.
Been out sourcing for clothings on my off days and eventually settled on a blazer from Topman, thanks to Amelia.

Chilled at Indochine with Amelia, Hanjie and Regina after work.
Awesome place but a pity cos' I didn't had my camera with me.

Holidays are pretty boring when you don't have the plans and money.
I'm so desperate for a perfect holiday.

And I want to save money.

No more splurging, especially on online shopping - some qualities can be real bad.
Well except for the pants I wanted at Zara - what contradiction. lol
I'm a little pauper, I need to save.

Can you believe this, sometimes I wished school was still on. I want to go to school very much even though it's a terrible place to be in.
Feels like doing a dozen of maths paper, write english essays and eat snacks in class.

Celebrated her birthday at Sakura with brothers' girlfriends.

Accompanied Regina to Ang Mo Kio to replace her ezlink card but failed because her photo wasn't in school uniform.
Then to Lavender to apply for her IC which she didn't process last year.
But didn't manage to because she didn't have a photocopy of her parents' IC.

N levels is over.
I have never been so stressed in my life.
This two weeks were the toughest weeks ever.

BUT THE HOLIDAY IS HERE ALL THE WAY TILL DECEMBER END.
Happy kids let's assemble and party all day long.

4 Years.
Four years at one place, to discover and change.
Four year of learning, to excel and soar.
Four years of ups and downs, yet filled with tears and laughter.

And eventually, all these adds up to our graduation.
We always knew it was coming, but who knew it would come so fast?
Today was somehow the last day of school for the 4Ns before the continuation of N levels exam.
Suddenly, I want to go to school so much despite the times when I always said that I hated school.
It might be my last time stepping into the classroom this year, or maybe, never again.
Anyway, we took alot of photos because we had about 3 or 4 cameras in class and I'd post them up soon.

Yesterday, watched Fame with Amanda, Fadli and Regina. The movie was alright - Watch it if you are bored
Then Brandon came and we celebrated Amanda's birthday.

Random things I heard in class today.

Saifuddin to Zulhelmi: How tall is your mother?
Zulhelmi: I don't know.
Saifuddin: Like Wahyuni?
Zulhelmi: I forgot my mother's appearance.

Joke. Muzammil, Saifuddin and I started laughing like crazy.
It totally woke me up from the unconsciousness state of mind which I always had in the mornings.

Watched 4Bia 2 with Amanda and Regina. It's not that horrifying but really mother ass gross.
There were a few stories, but sadly I think I paid the movie ticket just for the last story. Worth watching though.

Yesterday, I was in a seriously indecisive mood. Ranging from 'What to do now?' to 'What to do next?' and then to another case of 'How to do it?' - take my art preparatory for example. Initially, I narrowed down to 2 topics out of the 6 given topics for myself to choose. I started researching for one of it and found out, oh, maybe its not the right topic for me because I will only have 3 hours to complete the piece and based on my speed, I may not be able to do it. I had to focus on the other question then. Revolution. But there was a problem -- I couldn't get my perspective drawing right. After repeatedly sketching and crushing, the perspective still didn't seem right to me. Then, I sought help from my brother who seemed to be better in perspective drawing. He also told me that it is one of the basics -- maybe I need to do more studies on that. I carried on to practice drawing human figures which seemed less challenging to me, other than drawing facial features.

So last night, I drew a total of 4 figures without facial features on printing papers and I only managed to transfer one of them to my sketch book this morning. Hopefully, I will be able to finish most of the coloured works by weekend.

10 more days to N level, I have to start studying soon. I realised that I'm always held up with every art paper.
Or maybe its just that I'm not putting my free time into good use.
Maths is really a big problem. I know that I have been mentioning this since sec 1, but it still remains as a big problem.

"The greatest failure is the failure to try" -- Mrs Tay told me this when she saw my blank practice paper yesterday -- I have been a failure at times. I have a collection of blank practice papers which I only took but did not attempt since the start of 2009. And I know, Mrs Tay is very disappointed whenever we don't try to do her work. I hate disappointing people. She kept telling us that she wants to teach us again next year. But on second thought, I don't think she wants to teach a lazy student like me. She also told me to bring the maths formula list to school which she wanted to show the class something, but I did not go to school today. Once again, I have disappointed her..

Days of reminiscence is over.

Depressed because I don't know if I can pass my N level with my maths standard.
Upset because my maths sucks.
Sad because I got no motivation and intending to miss school.
Angry because there is school tomorrow.

But I am happy because I am not in school now.

And I want to go to Aussie and do some fishing.
Who knows, I might be fortunate enough to catch another $124k cash like the 2 Australian teenagers did!

Alright I went for counselling with Jiawei and Regina and we met the new school counsellor, Ms Ang.
She spoke to us regarding our N level which is in less than 3 weeks time and how to go about tackling the incoming stress.
She also shared with us her past, the route she took to achieve her degree and stuff like that.
And it was my 1st session of counselling in 4 years of secondary school.
In whole I thought it was good. (yeah, I skipped class)
